The First Beatslab Jukebox Cycle Is In

The first cycle closed last week. Five submissions came in, and I listened to every one in full. All five earned a feature, and four also landed on a playlist.

That won't always happen. Some months there will be more submissions than features, and the ones that don't make it get the collective note instead, what separated the tracks that landed from the ones that didn't. And one result this cycle shows the mechanic working as described: a feature and a playlist spot are separate calls, and one track earned the first without the second.

Here's who made the cut.

Each one has a full write-up, what I heard, what earned the spot, linked above.

These are the first tracks on any of the seven Beatslab Jukebox playlists. If you've read why I built them, this is that idea, live, with real songs on it.

Submissions for the next cycle are open now at Beatslab Jukebox. Closes the 2nd Friday of next month, features publish the 3rd Friday.
